Does anyone else's insurance company not pay for their DC flu shot?
I am ******. He doesn't go to daycare, has no "friends", on a rare occassion, we take him to a restaurant so he really didn't need it but my Dr convinced me that I would be a terrible mother if I didn't give it to him anyway.

And insurance doesn't cover it? I didn't even think of this. DD just got hers yesterday. I guess I'll soon find out....

i would fight them - that is stupid - it is recomended for all children and it could end up saving them a lot of money

just spoke to my insurance company & it's not covered.
is it just me or is it impossible to actually know what exactly is covered or not? O feel like the rules always change. I asked them to transfer me to someone who can mail me a book regarding our coverages & I was transferred a handful of times so I just hung up. I'm so annoyed.

Under the new arrordable care act alot of things that insurance companies previously asked you to make a co-payments on now have no co-payment and are considered well- care.
The flu shot shouldn't have any co-payment if you have insurance.

I paid a co-payment but he got the flu shot during his 10 month well visit so I don't think it pertains, right?

Don't even get me started on insurance. Between having the baby and then having surgery 5 weeks later we are still living an insurance nightmare. And we have what is considered "good" insurance. If there is such a thing... I hate it!
