Does anyone get really uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time?
I have never had any problems with my chair at work, its ergonomic and extremely comfortable but lately I have been noticing my butt starts to hurt when I am sitting - at my desk, in meetings, on the train.
Is this weird?

OMG, you're telling me. I constantly stand up from my chair and reposition my legs. My co-worker thinks I'm nuts.

OMG, me too. I just said to DH yesterday that my arse hurt. He thought I was crazy. We were in the car drivng around looking at houses and my bum was killing me. Even home, I cant sit for to long. Its not like a sciatica pain but just a dull ache pain. Try and walk a bit, it seems to help me.

I get this too-- but, I had bruised my coxic bone when I was about 12-- and ever since then I would get pain ocassionally there. I do notice that now-- the pain is worse and it comes on very quickly-- especially in an office chair. It hurts a lot.

I notice that my lower back hurts when I sit for a bit.
I think it has to do with pressure.
I hate to say it, but I'm sure it is going to get worse as we get bigger and bigger.

yep, I know......
It's this hormone called relaixin... it affects all joints in our body... making them looser. This is obviously so our pelvis can flex during delivery.. but it also affects our backs, knees, arms.... It's one of the reasons why we're prone to topple over. Our joints don't move as they usually do, so our proprioception is off  It's also one of the reasons we 'waddle'.
I discovered months ago at a family dinner (sat in a chair for hours) that I could be crippled by not standing up and walking around periodically. my hips literally fall out of the sockets

yes...very early on it did. now it's much worse. get up and walk around when you can!
