Re: Does anyone get zero use out of their glider??

I used mine everyday for 3 months. Now I still use it on occasion, but it mostly holds clothes that need to be folded (it's in my BR.) I also have a loveseat in DS's room, so I sit on that with him. If the glider was in there, I'd still be using it everyday.

I used mine for night feedings with both kids and when that was over gave it to my co worker. Glad I didnt get an expensive one for sure.

We must be married to the same man.

When we were shopping for a glider he wouldn't agree to any of the decent priced ones. He wanted the $700 one too.

I refused to spend $700 on chair when I was going to be out on maternity leave with no paycheck for 4.5 months.

He refused to agree to any of the moderately priced ones.

I got one off craigslist for $75.

I dont use it AT ALL.
DH has used it more than me to occasionally rock her to sleep.

I sit in it every night to give him his bottle.

When they get older I read books to them while sitting in it.

I think we use it so much b/c the nursery is on the 1st floor and Sean was sleeping in his own crib in his room from the day he came home, so we were always in there ..............

Now that he's older and doesn't want to be held - we don't use it as much, but I have to admit, I didn't want it, DH insisted - and I AM glad we got it b/c we used it constantly -

And we got a good one, so we can use it for baby #2 as well

Never used mine. I think I pumped on it once, and that was it. It is sitting in a corner of the nursery with a pillow on it.

We got one(well MIL bought it as a gift) I think it was around 500. When they were little I rarely used it. Now I rock Declan in it every night before bed. Ronan likes to rock standing up.

I used it maybe a top of 7-8 times in 3 years. I did not use it for BFing. It's mostly a place to put his stuff animals and clothes. Chat Icon

The chair and ottoman look brand new. I guess it will easy to sell it. Chat Icon Chat Icon

we're opposite over here too! Use it every night. It's part of our bedtime routine. I'll be sad when we stop using it!

I bought a used Dutailier from a LIFer but DS never liked it much. He doesn't relax when we're rocking back and forth.

I actually just pulled it out of his room to make room for toy storage. My sister is going to store it until she has a bambino!

My son is 3 and I still use it daily!!

One of the very best purchases I made!

Breast fed in it, bottle fed in it and now we read in it.

Opposite for us.

When DS was newborn we'd use it for middle of the night feedings even though he was sleeping in our room.

Now we use it every night for reading books before we put him in bed.
