Does anyone have the City Mini Double stroller?
I think this is the stroller that I will wind up getting for when I have a newborn and an 18 month-old
I'm looking at this on Amazon, and what I'm trying to figure out is: Does the stroller actually come with both regular seats? I'm reading reviews from angry customers who are saying that they purchased the infant carseat adapter, thinking this was all they needed in order to use the infant carseat with the stroller, but that they didn't realize they ALSO needed to purchase the "2nd seat kit".
I'm confused...shouldn't a double stroller come with 2 seats by default?? Just trying to figure out exactly what I would need to buy...

Re: Does anyone have the City Mini Double stroller?
Hmmm...I have this too and I'm not sure what they're referring to with the "2nd seat kit" for the city mini double. There are definitely 2 side by side seats. Unfortunately I did not purchase a carseat adapter. My children will be 15months apart but I have seen newborns fit very securely in the double stroller if you don't want the added expense of purchasing an infant carseat adapter. It's a personal preferance though!
The City "Select" says that you need to buy a "2nd seat kit" if you want to make the single a double. Could that be what they're referring to?

Re: Does anyone have the City Mini Double stroller?
I have the citi mini double stroller and I have no idea what they are talking about.
I'm using it for the twins and it can only take one car seat adapter so it wasn't an option for me but the person at BBB showed it to me anyway because I asked about it. He said most people hate it. It definatley was really awkward and stuck out a lot. I would never have wanted it. Definatley look at it in person before buying it.

This is me -- We sprung for this stroller last year when I was PG with #2 and we got the car seat adapter to attach the infant carrier to it -- HATE IT. I'm a pretty relaxed mom, but I refuse to take DCs out in it because I don't trust the attachment. DH thinks I'm paranoid and feels the latches are secure enough, but I could not disagree more.
Also, the 'attachments' are all sold separately and can't all go on at the same time. There are no child cupholders/trays attached, so you have to buy the bellybar and then attach the cupholder/tray to the bellybar, but the bellybar can't be attached if the car seat adapter is on. So older DS is up a freaking creek on one side of the stroller (no cup, no snacks, no bar to hold onto) while younger DS is loosely attached to the other side.
I've been using my sister's hand-me-down Graco Duoglider in the meantime. As soon as younger DS can hold his head up more reliably we'll move over to the City Mini (DH will kill me if I don't start to use it - those suckers were pricey! )

it has both seats u just need the adapter.
actually if u are interested i will sell you my carseat adapter cheaper than the price online. we used it 2 times and ds got too big for the carseat. we've only used the stroller 3 times and part of me thinks i should get rid of it too but i hope to get some usuage this summer bc i spent so much money. my older ds usually walks so , fm me if u are interested.
editted to add i have the rain cover brand new too.
