Does anyone know if at South Nassau Hospital
DH can stay over a night? Funny of all my fears that I do have one of them is staying at the hospital alone, I've never stayed overnight at a hospital and DH said he would say with me a night, but I am not sure if they allow it?

no, they don't. visiting hours end at 8pm but DH was able to stay as late as he wanted. he usually left by 9:30/10 and that was good because i wanted to sleep!
believe me, you'll both feel better if he goes home and gets some good rest.  it's kind of sad/lonely the first night (i was there for 3 nights) but i got over it.

I know how you feel. I asked about this too because I had a bad experience in a hospital a few years ago and I fear being there alone. It's ironic that I work in a hospital but being a patient just makes you so much more vulnerable.
My doctor's office told me none of the hospitals they deliver at (South Nassau, Mercy, Winthrop) will allow DH to stay overnight. I'm scared.

DH is allowed to stay overnight if you're in L&D. Once you're moved to the postpartum rooms, DH cannot stay overnight. They don't make exceptions to that rule- DH tried for professional courtesy since he's a physician, but it didn't work 
However, he was able to stay until 10 or 11 pm and then come back the next morning before visiting hours started.

I was just going to type this! I can't believe so many of within days of each other are going there! I am sure we can keep each other company while our DH's go home.....Now it would be hysterical if we all end up in L&D together!!!!

No and my sister is one of the L & D nurses there for the last 26 yrs and my DH was not allowed.. Only in L & D and they give him a chair to sleep in.. Send him home and get some rest.. Good luck to you..
