Re: Does anyone plan on telling your family early into your PG?
I plan on telling after the first tri- it will probably be tough not to tell our families but I am superstitious

I will wait.. DH and I had this convo, my MIL would tell everyone and I saw it with my BIL's wife. My mom once mentioned to tell her after the "threshold" was crossed.. I had no clue what it meant at that point but I will wait as well.

Re: Does anyone plan on telling your family early into your PG?
I told my parents, in laws, and close close friends the day of bfp. My thinking was that for me if something bad happened it would hurt me just as much if people knew or not. That is a personal thing though- I know many people DO feel it would hurt more if they had to deal w/ condolences/questions/ etc. Kwim?

ugh my MIL is like that. i have a feeling she may have told people about us. my SIL got pregnant the same time as me and we found out she was spilling the beans about my SIL so DH called her flipping out....he told her that we really meant it when we said we wanted to keep it a secret. then like a week later we lost it. if she did tell i hope she felt like a real a-hole telling the bad news...
that is why next time i'm not telling my in-laws for a long time. my parents aren't like that so DH will just have to deal with it. his family put me under so much stress last time that i don't even want them to know i'm pregnant - i lost so much sleep, cried, got angry b/c of them and ironically it's around the time the m/c happened so next time i don't want any involvement from them for my own sanity...
i hate when people don't keep a secret

Re: Does anyone plan on telling your family early into your PG?
We planned on waiting at least until a heartbeat before telling anyone. Now DH wants to tell my family this weekend and his on xmas. I'm struggling with what to do, but if my bloodtest tomorrow comes out OK we may do that, even though it is a lot earlier than I would have wanted.

Re: Does anyone plan on telling your family early into your PG?
No. I told my sister, parents and 1 grandmother right away with my ds. No issue with them. At 10 weeks we told dh's family, only parents & siblings. Within 5 minutes of telling them the entire extended family knew. I was so mad and stressed. First because they took away the opportunity for us to share our news and secondly because it was still a bit early. We were getting non stop phone calls to confirm the news and then felt like total idiots when we had to say we were only 10 weeks.
