does it annoy anyone else?
I don't know why this bothers me so much- but why do celebrities- the ones with the MONEY get all the free stuff?
I just read a list of what was given out a sundance- it's DISGUSTING! They should stop showing movies and just give crap away b/c it seems that is why people go.

Yeah, that totally annoys me! Those people have all the money in the world and then they get all this amazing stuff for free!
Maybe the people who run these events should try doing what some people now do for wedding favors and use that money for donations! It's not like Julia Roberts need a $100,000 goodie bag.

It annoys the ever living crap out of me actually. I remember a few years ago there was a big name pregnant celebrity ( I forget who) who received tons and tons of free high end baby stuff. I was wondering to myself, how wonderful would it be if the retailer actually donated to a woman in need? Or just as nice, how great would it be for the woman to donate her mega expenisive baby items? Has this thought ever occured to anyone? Or is it just me?
Either way it is getting way obnoxious and out of hand. It really needs to stop. I don't see it doing so anytime soon.

When I used to work for Victoria's Secret, they were always so proud of their "celebrity giveaways"...they'd make us post the marketing pieces all over the backroom for the employees to see.
Yeah- REAL motivating.  People who do NOTHING for the company get packages worth $5,000 while we would only get a free bra once a year...

I think that's what bothers me the most about celebrities; They get free goodies at award shows and free dresses/suits from designers. Give that stuff to people that CAN'T afford it and would probably appreciate it a whole lot more.

I think these companies that give towards the goody bags, do it for the publicity. If you have a high-profile star walking around wearing your watch or carrying your bag, it gets noticed.

I agree. If I was a celeb and had all this money. I would donate my free gifts to charity. Most celebs in general make me nuts

Yes, it's a marketing expense- falls under PR- the whole idea being that if famous people have it- the idiots like us will buy.
it just angers me though that they get the crap for free and the common man and woman falls for this dupe!
