I actually read somewhere a while back, that some celebrities have been caught selling the freebie stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Now that is ridiculous

It's absolutely done for the promotional value... and I agreee that it's ridiculous. These people need free stuff like a hole in the head. I sure as heck hope people do donate this stuff!!
But then again there are all the celebs in all the magazines with certain products and people RUN out to buy it.
