Does your DH cook?

Mine doesn't and he doesn't ever want to try. His idea of making dinner is boiling hot dogs. I wish he would learn so he could cook for me one dayChat Icon

That made me laugh…NO WAY. My DH’s idea of cooking is heating up a can of tomato soup and adding egg bow noodles to it.Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Does your DH cook?

you know what - my DH doesn't cook dinners, but he does make me breakfast on the weekends. I totally suckk when it comes to making pancakes or egg & cheese omelets. I just can't. lol. So he'll make stuff like that sometimes.

He decided yesterday that he wants breakfast for dinner on Friday night, so I reminded him that HE is the one who will have to make it!! lol. I wonder if he still wants it. Chat Icon

(other than that he can make hamburger helper, tacos, & poptarts)

Mine can make easy things. Like boil water and put in his Ramen noodles, microwave things, and put his frozen chicken nuggets in the oven. Chat Icon

I do have to say though that after I make dinner though and we finish he will do the dishes.

I always wondered in situations like this who did the cooking. Like Giada on food network. Does her husband ever cook?Chat Icon

Re: Does your DH cook?

What *isses me off is that he is a fireman, 90% of the time thats all he DOES is COOK and EAT, but only there!!!

When he comes home, he's like "which one of these thingies *pointin to the cabinets* do you hide the microwave popcorn in?!?!?
Our kitchen is a foreign land to him!

Re: Does your DH cook?

My DH is a better cook then me. He's been making dinner every night since his lay off and I'm not talking hot dogs or grilled cheese. He makes his mom's recipes. No wonder why I'm gaining weight!!

Not at all - his idea of cooking is heating up a frozen pizza.

Re: Does your DH cook?

Mine does. He cooks most nights he is home lately. He went to school for it so he likes it. He says it relaxes him..urr, OK.

Most stuff he goods is good, but then you always get the same ol' boring azz stuff you have evrey week. Anyone would get tired of that.

Re: Does your DH cook?

My dh can use the microwave and that's it. But he even admitted to me last night- he just plays dumb when I ask him for help so he doesn't have to cook Chat Icon Chat Icon

Last night I had one of those meals in a bag from Birdseye (really good by the way) and he couldn't even open the bag put it into the pot and put some water in it and cover it. I had everything laid out for him too.

He is a pain in the @$$ sometimes. But he does do the dishes for me so cant complain.
