Asking my hubby to watch our DS is like asking a 3 year old to do it. DS has been hurt 3 times while under his watch. Two of them were completely preventable. They were both head injuries. I still have to tell him to make sure he closes the gate at the top of the stairs and the one into the kitchen. EVERYDAY!!. Also to make sure he picks up the small bits and pieces off the floor. Not to leave his change or medication laying around. ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!!!I know babies are going to get hurt, but what he did to let it happen was completely idiotic....I definitely keep a closer eye on DS. I have told hubby no computer while he is watching DS...Yea right... If he needs to do something, put DS in his play area and then do it....He is never going to learn...And I am going to have to learn how to deal with it..

I have just the opposite problem. My dh is probably more protective than me. He does not seem to recognize that ds is getting older and needs to be taught some independence and given some freedom.
