Does your newborn have a fussy time?
Sometimes Derek gets fussy and I dont know what's wrong. It seems like he doesnt know if he's tired, if he's hungry or just wants a pacifier.
He is constantly drooling and trying to put his fists in his mouth. Could it be teething? He is only 3 1/2 months. TJ didnt get his first tooth until almost 11 months
He will just cry for almost 20 min. sometimes longer and no matter what I do won't stop until he tires himself out and falls asleep.

Re: Does your newborn have a fussy time?
Yes, when DD was really little (<2 months), around 4 every day until bedtime she'd be fussy.
Now from about 5 until bedtime she can be fussy, but bedtime is established at around 6:30 or 7 at 4 months, as opposed to 10 or 11 at 2 months.

Re: Does your newborn have a fussy time?
DS had a very long witching hour as a newborn. He'd cry for hours every night. The 5 S's from the Happiest Baby on the Block helped, but didn't completely stop the crying and fussiness.

you described my son..and he's 2 months. Hes drooling alot, putthing the hands in the mouth and gets fussy at times. Sometimes he's fussy all day and needs to be held (like yesterday) and today he was great until later in the day. (granted we went t my job and visited my work friends, picked up grammy for the holiday and went to the dr. and got 4 vaccinations today, so he's allowed to be fussy..LOL.) but there are days when he's just fussy all day and nothing helps him.

DS is going through similar. His hands are constantly in his mouth & he is forever drooling....Then lately he is crying uncontrollably no matter what we do

Re: Does your newborn have a fussy time?
Same here. DS is fussy during the day mostly. And sometimes at night. Like he doesn't know what to do with himself. This afternoon around 4pm he was unbearable. He didn't want the swing or the bouncer. He didn't want to be held either. So I finally put him in his carseat and put a binky in his mouth and rocked him for a few minutes and he passed out. Slept for an hour or so. He is like that right now. He will be 2 months old tomorrow.

Re: Does your newborn have a fussy time?
Yes DD had that, and it usually meant I missed her sleep window. She literally had to be in her crib no later than 6:30 or all hell broke loss

Re: Does your newborn have a fussy time?
Not a fussy time but sometimes he just has those uncontrolable crying fits that last for about 20 minutes or so. Usually it is due to a gas though
