Dry cough..take to ped or not?
My 7 month old has a very sporadic dry cough. No other symptoms at all. It almost seems like she is forcing and faking it. She only does it when we are around and she doesn't cough at night or during naps at all.
I was thinking it was maybe because the house was dry. She has a humidifier going in her room all night.
Does this warrant a trip to the ped or not?
Thanks!

Re: Dry cough..take to ped or not?
I would say no. It could just be irritation from post-nasal drip, which I have all year round
Just pay attention to her temp.
DS also liked to cough for attention when he was about 10-12 months old

I'm thinking it's the dry air, only because I have the same cough right now, more of a tickle in my throat, and our heat is SKY high so that's what I think it is

I wouldn't. It's probably for fun or from the dryness. Hope it goes away

ITA. DS used to do the same thing. He'd cough and then look at us and smile and wait for a reaction. He thought he was so funny!
Definitely keep an eye out for any changes in his cough, eating & sleeping habits, any wheezing or problems breathing and fever though!
