Dry Scalp in toddler?

my DS is 17.5 months and has a dry scalp. We use J & J shampoo. I called his ped and they said switch shampoosChat Icon big help and also said put baby oil on his scalp. I did that but it leaves his hair so greasy even after i wash it out and didn't seem to help. Any other suggestions?
TIA!
