DS keeps throwing up. Would you take him to the pediatrician?
20m DS kept throwing up in his sleep last night. Then this morning he threw up again after breakfast. He has no fever.
Would you take him to the pediatrician?
DH thinks we should give him fluids to keep him hydrated and wait to see how he feels tomorrow.

ughhh you have the virus now!! We had it last week.
We were told to give pedialyte, no dairy and just watch him for a fever. About 18 hrs after vomit, the diarrhea started.

THere is totally a stomach virus going around, my house just had it this past weekend. I would give it 48 hours, as long as he is still peeing, if it hasnt stopped, then I would call.

Because he isn't a newborn, I would keep him hydrated & see if secondary symptoms present (fever, cough, etc.).

there is nothing the ped can do.. just make sure he is hydrated and it has to run its course...

Yep it's going around.
I had it last week- luckily DD didn't get it.
But not much the ped can do- just keep an eye on his hydration.

I would call them. My ped now gives us Zofran if the vomiting gets extreme. It has been a lifesaver for us! NO vomiting; just follow the restricted diet and all better

I called the office and spoke to a nurse practitioner. She told us to keep him hydrated giving him small doses of fluid and feed him small bland meals he can tolerate. If he stops having wet diapers for 8 hours, she told us to call/come in.

DS had it last week and DH and I just got over it. its definitely going around. theres nothing the ped can do for him. your DH is right. Keep him hydrated and lots of hugs!

they give zofran to toddlers?? wow. my DH just got that for his nausea. it definitely helps

I think I might only b.c you might want the ped to check that he isn't dehydrated and give you the best tips on how to get fluids in without worsening or causing further vomiting.
