Dumb question...Is anyone else "baby name" obsessed ??
Ever since I was a little girl onwards, I have been obsessed with naming babies  ...I have had a baby name book since I was like 10 years old , picking out my future childrens names (although they have changed numerous times throughout the years) ..Am I weird or what ??

not obsessed. but we do have a name for our next boy should we have a boy. Which is strange because we couldn't agree for nothing with DS.

I don't think it's weird, but I'm not obsessed. I've always had favorite names, ever since I was a kid-of course they have changed. Since I've actually had a kid (and another on the way), it's been harder to establish a favorite.

Same here (of course ). DD's name has been my favorite for FOREVER. But I have absolutely no idea what I will name our next  or  , none!

thats so funny that u started this post bc i was telling dh all the names that i want and he was vetoing all of them and then he just said YOU'RE NOT EVEN PREGNANT!....lololol
(btw we already have a boy's name picked out hence why im thinking of all these girls names)

I have, too and no cannot finalize a name for my to save my life!
I'm torn among Abigail, Madeline, Emma & Penelope. That last one may be a product of being too into Lost

You sound like me!! I have had a baby name list going with cross-outs, new additions, etc. in my Baby Name book for about 14 years now. But hey.......finally after 14 years it came in handy.

yep, since i was a kid. FH is too. only guy i ever dated who already had names picked out for a son and daughter, and they weren't juniors. We have DD, and have 2 more girl names, and 2-3 more boys names picked out. Though, the girls' names are "definites" and only 1 boy's name is close to a definite.

I wouldn't say obsessed, but this is definitely something I have always thought about. I've had a boy's name picked since I'm 16 years old - and DH agrees! I had picked DD's name a few years before I got pregnant... and before I got married too!

I like Madeline best from that list... I LOOOVED the Madeline books when I was a little girl.

I ALWAYS looked up baby names-- way before I was even married. I had Sasha's name picked out before I was even pregnant.

My good friend in college was (she is still single...no babies yet)...I would sleep and she would go on the computer in my room and spend hours looking up baby names....it was a little weird, but it was cute too.

OMG me too. I had a book that I put together but I lost it somewhere down the line. I was totally obsessed. I'm not anymore since I have enough kids
but I'm obsessed in the fact that I ask DH every night what he wants for a girl name if it's a girl. I keep saying the same names over and over thinking he'll start liking it.
