Eating issues..can we help each other out?!?!?
Please..I need help..suggestions..anything at this point!
Megan is an AWFUL eater. Its not that shes just picky, she just doesnt eat. Its literally driving me insane. I wake up every day wondering what I am going to give her today, what mealtimes will be like. It takes over my entire day!
This is a list of the ONLY things she will eat..
Pancakes Waffle French toast Yogurt Applesauce Any type of cracker, bread..she LOVES carbs!
And her all time fave.. Elbow macaroni with broc or cauliflower with melted cheese on it.. or... Grilled cheese.
I have tried new things..I have gone back to things she didnt like before hoping she would like them now..no luck!
I have tried distracting her..feeding her on the go, I have even brought the highchair to the porch...NOTHING WORKS!
This morning I was desperate, so I put cheerios in an ice cube tray..the novelty of it worked for like 2 minutes and it was over.
I know there HAS to be people here who struggle with this as well. Can anyone suggest anything? Please! I was going to try to get deceptively delicious but it wont matter with her..she just HATES to eat. UGH!

At least she's eating! I think that your list isn't bad at all. I think you're stressing yourself out alot about it. She is getting to the age where she can pick, choose and refuse what she wants to eat. All kids pretty much go through this. I wouldn't stress so much over it. If that's what she eats, then it's easy, make that for her.

Not really related to the eating topic, but I wouldn't really rec getting Deceptively Delicious. I know 2 people who have the book and I read through a lot of it too, and they said it's really a pain to make/freeze all the purees... takes up your whole freezer, kwim? Then if you end up not loving a few of the recipes, you're stuck with a ton of purees to try and get rid of!!!

I bought a few cookbooks that were geared towards kids, ones that makes it easy to have your toddler help you. One was by Emeril and the other one was called Kosher in the Kitchen.. only because they recipes looked really good. My DD loves that Ill let her throw a couple ingredients in there and then when I put it in front of her Ill praise her for making it
This may not work for all but I wouldn't stress too much, im sure she gets the nutrients she needs. It happens to everyone at some point..

Megan would be the perfect girlfriend for my Matthew. He eats pretty much the same thing everyday. I've tried giving him lots of different things but he turns his head away so fast. He won't even try cookies, cakes or icecream. These are some things that he eats.
Pasta with Sauce Pasta with Chicken or Beef broth (I use the bouillon cubes) Pasta with Escarole (only at my mom's house) Yogurt Bananas Watermelon Chicken Nuggets French Fries (his favorite) Bread Hot Dogs Pancakes Eggs (Sometimes) Grilled cheese (but he's only had it twice so I gotta experiment more with this one)
He likes snacking on the goldfish and applejacks. Oh and just recently he started eating oranges. Not the whole thing of course but a couple of pieces. That's because he was with my mom. One day I bought him this frozen kids meal. It had 6 chicken nuggets, a little bit of corn and mac and cheese. He only had the chicken nuggets. Seriously that's why I still give him jars because he doesn't eat enough veggies and really needs to. Hey sometimes I gotta do what works.

Yea...
Megan will eat pizza with us on Fridays and would live on french fries if I let her.
She doesnt eat ANY meat. She will sometimes eat my moms meatballs when she makes a sauce but thats about it. I never met a kid that didnt like chicken nuggets????? I know it seems like she is doing fine but when I see what other kids eat and I make meals at night, I would love for her to be able to just enjoy what we are.
Its not a phase with her either. She never ate well..so its not like one day she just started being picky. This is just her I guess..I hope at some point though she does grow out of it because its rough!

My son could live on french fries too. Oh and sometimes he'll taste a meatball. I think this is the way they just are. Maybe it is a phase and one day they will grow out of it but for now I guess we just have to do what makes them happy. As long as they eat something.

Re: Eating issues..can we help each other out?!?!?
mine is horrible.
He will eat entire meals...and anything I give him, if
he doesn't snack in between no drinking no substitutes.
Once he eats the meal, then I will give him his snack cup.
