I dont understand what having a newborn has to do with folding tables....
What's there to understand?
I see where this topic is headed.....
HUH?? You said you had a newborn and you needed the tables...I dont understand what they have to do with each other.....
there are plenty of stores that sell snack folding tables that you could have bought from instead of doing it on ebay if you needed them so urgently
just curious....
ITA. You had time to visit ebay to search for and bid on the item and to pay for the item. Why didn't having a newborn stop you from those things?

Not sure where it is your business to ask, but I guess I have to explain...
It is hard enough to have a straight head everyday (you should know you seem to have 2 children yourself), but to be able to get out of the house to purchase something, ANYTHING is a chore in and of itself. I was looking for ebay to help.
I had NO kitchen, dining room table or ANY table for that matter, until about 1 month ago.... It seemed unnecessary to schlep my newborn out in the cold to buy something. I am new to this mom thing, I tried to find an easier way....
All because you HAD to know......
wow, she was just asking a question...
you seem awfully defensive
YOU posted the question...be prepared for the feedback!!!

your negative feedback can be looked at as being spiteful for not being happy with the product and not contacting the seller.
this is true, and we can "look" at many things differently........I see spite all over this thread right now....
We're getting off the subject which to me, has been settled.....
But let's do the traditional LIF NFR thing and start some drama.....

Re: EBAY-negative feedback, is it THAT bad?
Hey I just wanted to add that you're not on trial here. Even though etiquette could have been better between buyer and seller, I think this is a little bit of a lynching. Its your Ebay deal handle it the way you see fit. I think a lot of these threads can turn harsh and folks leave LIF because they are turned off by the negativity and I don't want to see that happen here.

now you're being riduculous. SHE EXPLAINED herself, which if it was me, I would not have
IT IS ALOT EASIER to shop online as opposed to schlepping your baby to BB&B

I guess you can just take this as a lesson learned and not to buy from ebay again unless you have a clear picture. Maybe next time you will be better off buying from a regular store's website, where you know an item will be new.

Re: EBAY-negative feedback, is it THAT bad?
Oh please! When did questioning her mothering skills become appropriate on a thread asking about negative feedback on eBay (or anywhere)?
And second, her reasoning for buying whatever it is that she bought on eBay for her child or not isn't even relavant...
To the OP... IMO, you should have contacted the seller first letting them know your dissatisfaction with what they sold you... lesson learned... if you can rectify the situation with the seller to get your money back, than go for it.... worse than getting something that is in poor condition is loosing money for something that you don't want.
Good luck!

Re: EBAY-negative feedback, is it THAT bad?
in all honesty this is what would have happened if I was the seller
you would have contacted me
I would have said send me the item back
I would have refunded you your money
or if it was going to cost more to ship it then it was worth- I would have just refunded the money
end of story
I have had this happen 1 time b/c of my description
if you just want to return the item b/c your changed your mind- I don't refund shipping- but if it was my fault- I own up to it and stand behind my product
same as buying ANYTHING on line
I have over 1000 transcations- and 3 neg comments- all from people that bought paintball guns from my DH and basically lied to try to get money back
this could have been resolved very simply

Re: EBAY-negative feedback, is it THAT bad?
yea seriously enough already. gina obviously isnt an avid ebayer (neither am i) and she was asking an honest question because she was taken aback by the sellers reaction. this thread got out of hand because there are alot of ebay sellers on these boards and everyone reacted the way they would have had it been them as the actual seller.
she learned her lesson not to buy crap online anymore. but to go so far as to question why she needed to purchase online with a new baby is uncalled for IMO. cut her some slack.

but not understanding something is not a reason to get nasty....
she understood enough to leave negative feedback but not enough to first contact the seller to say she was unhappy....
