What a great thread! I will post when dd takes a nap. I am on a dairy free diet. Quick question for girls who were reintroducing. When you ate dairy what symptoms did you look for?
I didn't try anything until he was a year based upon the advice of the GI doctor. The ped. said we could try it a t 6 months, but I didn't want to chance it. The longer you avoid it the more likely that they will outgrow it. When I introduced it I gave him milk, an ounce a day for a week and then upped it every week for a month. At the end of the month I had his poop tested for blood and it was negative. I also looked for a rash, congestion, diarrhea, spiting up. All of the symptoms that he had before.

Thanks! It becomes easy after a while. And as a bonus, you lose so much weight! I'm gaining it back now that I'm off the diet though!

I made PB balls for the GTG today and I had to go to 2 stores to find dark chocolate w/o dairy or soy! It really is in so many things...
Ummm, where in the world did you find the chocolate?!?! I haven't had anything sweet in 2 months since being on this diet and I'm salivating at he thought of chocolate right now! And could you please share your banana bread recipe?
I found the chocolate at Wild By Nature, I had to look through every chocolate bar they had, lol. Most of them had the soy lechiten (sp?) in it. Then I finally found one but it was really dark chocolate.
As far as the banana bread I have a go to recipe but it uses sour cream I *think* this is the one I used. I think you said no eggs for you so maybe use egg substitute? I used applesauce instead of butter but you can use the earth stuff. I also always use whole wheat flour and I add extra bananas b/c I think it keeps it moist. I added a little vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon also and some sliced almonds and walnuts. I just kinda used that recipe for the basic measurements and added more of my own stuff. It was really good!

Janice mentioned tacos, so we made fish tacos (corgy, a fish my dad caught and gave us). I added a mango salsa (mango, avocado, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, s&p) It was SOO good!! I think I am gonna make more of that salsa to add to my chicken and other things...
Thanks for the idea of tacos!!
