There is no way I could ever convince my DH to have a vasectomy so I will look into tying my tubes/Essure procedure after a healthy baby #2

Pretty selfish of the men to chicken out or refuse.
Their procedure is much easier than giving birth or having tubes tied.

I had mine tied when I had to have a cyst removed. I was in pain for a few days but nothing that bad. That was more from the cyst removal and uterine ablasion though. My SIL had it done after she gave birth vaginally and was fine afterwards.

Be that as it may DH has always stated prior to kids that was not an option for him so I knew I would have to look into to another form on BC

If I was done having kids I would ask my DH to have a vasectomy rather than me having my tubes tied. It's a much simpler procedure and reversible in case you ever change your mind. 
I agree, I would do the same , for the same reason.

I had it done with my 2nd c/s(otherwise it would have been him)
I have been having a really hard time with my periods since. LOTS of pain, and bleeding, I also have bad nausea(for the entire week of my period and sometimes with PMS). My OB says it is not related but I do not buy it after researching online. I am actually switching OB's over this. At this point I have some regrets and hope I do not have to deal with this forever
