FB friends with daycare teacher?
One of my son's daycare teachers just requested me on FB... I feel kind of weird about it- I like her and all- I just dont want to know her business or have her know mine
How many of you are friends with daycare teachers/providers on FB?

I wouldn't do it, I just think I might read something on her page that would make me  or  and I'd have no peace of mind after that. If the "facility" had a fan page I could "like" that would be AOK with me though.

I am not friends with anyone at daycare and don't plan to be, as long as he is attending there.

Hmm.. I'm not sure. On one hand, I'd want to know more about the person caring for my child on a daily basis... On the other hand, do I really want to know and have her know about my life? Not sure! If you not sure, I say don't OR accept her and hide most of your info.

like i posted on my other thread, im FB friends with the infant room teacher. now that DS isnt in her room anymore i really dont need to have her on my page.

I don't see DS's teacher every day and there was a period of time when I didn't see her at all so I would do it to find out how he was doing. You can always unfriend her when he changes classes. Plus, it might be good to have her in case you needed a babysitter.

no, i am not. but I did happen so see someone from the daycare as a mutual friend on FB, and clicked on her page. I wish I didn't!

I am friends with a couple of the teachers from my kids' prior day care. They never posted anything inappropriate and it opened up additional lines of communication.
I'm not about to post anything inappropriate on MY FB page since it's the internet.. so nothing to worry about.

I am. DD was in her room and when she moved up the teacher friend requested me. I didn't think twice about accepting. Now DS was just moved into her room. I would feel weird unfriending her. She doesn't generally show up in my news feed so I never gave it a second thought.
I am also friends with the asst director and a bunch if moms.
