Feeding advice ( 1 month old)

The twins are driving me crazy these past few days.. maybe it growth spurts.. but they normally eat 3 oz every 2.5-3 hours. Yesterday and today they want to eat every hour. I tried giving them 3.5-4 oz bottles but they wont take more than 3 oz at once. An hour later they want 1 oz, an hour later another oz. I cant be feeding 2 babies every hour. Any advice?
(they are on breastmilk & formula, abt half and half. i've been increasing their formula & decreasing BM bc it keeps them full a little longer)

Do they take pacifiers? I'd try giving them that if they are looking for food one hour after eating. They could just want to have something to suck on.

They are definitely hungry. They suck the pacifier and when they realize nothing is coming out they spit it out. Right now my shirt is soaked from them trying to eat me!Chat Icon

I have no advice then. DD was the same way, but she would at least take a paci 1/2 the time Chat Icon

Sounds like they're going through a growth spurt so it shouldn't last too long. Chat Icon

Re: Feeding advice ( 1 month old)

I'm not much help. DD is also a month old and I have the same problem. And she wont take a paci...
Sometimes she will only have 1 or 2 oz and then fall back asleep and then sometimes she is so ravenous she has finished off 6 oz before being satisfied.
She will also sleep long stretches. Like right now. She fell back asleep at 5:30 this morning and is STILL sleeping...and that was only on 3 oz.
I keep a log and there is no correlation to her eating/sleeping. I just give her till she pouts her lips and doesnt want any more. As long as she isnt spitting it out am I wrong in giving her this much??

ETA She woke up at 12:35....I made her a 4 oz bottle, she had 1.5 oz burped and fell back asleep. Even with washing her face, changing her diaper and tickling her feet she doesnt wake up.
