Feeding an infant in the Highchair
DS is going to be 3 months soon and we were thinking of breaking out the highchair since he has pretty good head and neck control now.
He is around 13 pounds and it's getting pretty hard to feed him on my lap, my arm feels like it's going to fall off after 20 mins.
He obviously is not holding his own bottle, but wanted to get an idea from the you ladies on how this worked out for you.
The highchair does recline so he wont be sitting straight up, but what do you do about burping them? Take them out of the highchair, put them back in?
Just trying to figure out if its too soon and wait till he starts on solids.
Thanks

Re: Feeding an infant in the Highchair
DD loves her high chair. She has been in in since 3 months and then a few weeks ago I made it recline less so she is almost sitting up. She is in it everyday and just hangs out with us!
As for feeding her in there, I never tried it. Cuddling and feeding her is my favorite LOL but I would try the boppy before the high chair for that - and yes,I would take her out to burp her.

I also used the boppy all the time when I bottle fed at that age! I would put it next to me on the couch and she was able to relax and be comfy while she drank her bottler

Gottcha! So you just use it so she can hang out at the table with you guys? Makes sense. Only thing, DH and I usually eat in the Den on the coffee table, but maybe we should try sitting at our dining room table for a change - LOL

Re: Feeding an infant in the Highchair
I've done both the boppy and high chair. The high chair reclines so it's easy to feed. And i did take her out to burp her, sometimes she hangs out in there playing with the toy or with us for dinner. She's now 6 months but has been in the hc since 3 months

She really loves it. I also use it when I am doing dishes, or cleaning up. She is nosy so she prefers it over our travel swing b/c she is higher and can see everything! LOL

I always used the boppy pillow.
I have been using this since day 1, but DS has acid reflux and I try feeding him on an angle so all his weight is basically on my arm. It's hysterical watching me fed him, I have like a fort of pillows around me - LOL
