Feeding solids and making a mess!

Am I the only one that has such a mess at the end after feeding my DD solids...she's 5.5months old. At the end of her feeding, its all over her hands, the tray, her bib (of course), her mouth, cheeks, nose...sometimes even her forehead or hair!!!!!! Is this normal for feeding sessions? YUP she wears it more than she eats it. I love more when you give her a spoonful and she immediately puts her whole hand in her mouth and mushes it around lol. I've given up on constantly wiping her and now just wait till I am all done!

I find that it's worst when he is tired, because then he gets it on his hands and then rubs his eyes!

Completely normal. I don't bother doing anything about it until she's done, but it's EVERYWHERE. I strip her down to a diaper and a bib as long as we're home. And there are days she goes directly from the high chair to the tub. But don't stress over it, there's nothing you can do about it at this point.

CUTE!

Ok, this is what my DD looks like while eating

I don't clean up until after, but didn't know if I was just not trying hard to enough to be neat...she sticks her hands in her mouth while eating, grabs the spoon etc.... Chat Icon Chat Icon
