feeling very scared after transfer
So I am back at work after 2 days of bed rest. I had my transfer Monday. Everything went perfectly. But today I am feeling kind of down. I am so scared and nervous to get that negative. I know I shouldn't be thinking that way, but it is so difficult to stay positive. I asked the nurse of this works on the first time for many women, and she did say yes. I am 30 and have no known problems, other than hypothyroidism. Sorry, I just have to vent. This is going to be such a difficult 6 days!

Re: feeling very scared after transfer
You should try and relax as much as possible. get enough rest and try meditation or some yoga to relax. keep the positive attitude and focus on being the postive. good luck.

Re: feeling very scared after transfer
I can completely identify!! I had my transfer Monday too and although I try not to make it forefront on my mind, I am so scared of finding out if this worked next week!!
Something that doesn't help either is wondering if every little thing I am doing can negatively impact our chances. I cough or sneeze and wonder if it did anything! (although, I've gotten better at that in the last 12 hours because I told myself I CANNOT go on like that for the next 9 months! )
I spoke to Dr.B about my chances and he reminded me we did all we could and I have to be optimistic. For now, I am going with that and hopefully I will have a reason to celebrate next week. I'm trying to keep any negative thoughts away unless there's a reason for it.
Good luck getting through the rest of the wait!! I know you had your ER earlier so you have 2 days on me! Your beta will be here before you know it and hopefully we BOTH will have reasons to celebrate!

Re: feeling very scared after transfer
Thanks Penny! It is nice to know you are not going through this alone. I will have my pregnancy test on Tuesday and my stomach is in knots. I am trying my hardest to relax, but it is so difficult. This has been such a long journey that I can't imagine doing it again (this soon). I am so ready to hold my baby in my arms. Everything seems like it went so perfectly. We transferred two beautiful 5 day blasts and the embryologist even did some assisted hatching on them. It seems like how can in not work! I am praying that we get our BFP next week!!

Re: feeling very scared after transfer
We did assisted hatching too, though ours were not blasts and were a 3 day transfer due to some random issues.
I am getting sick with worry too by the possibility of this not working I've been down this road far too many times of being hopeful just to be let down. I'm just hoping the next week flies, since my beta is next Thursday.
Will you be testing beforehand?

I am definitely not going to test beforehand. I hate those sticks! Lol. I am going to wait for that call from dr. B. That call could either change my life in the best way or worst . Do u plan to test?

Re: feeling very scared after transfer
I am undecided. I'm really scared to get the results either way.
I feel like if I test at home my hands will be shaking the whole time and I'll be too scared to look
I haven't planned out yet how I will find out. I'll probably end up testing at home, but not sure when.
I find what's so hard about this is it's such a controlled process and we go through it knowing so much. We get blood results.. sonos ... emails with embryo updates... and now suddenly we're left to wonder and hope that everything is going okay with no real proof until the beta.
This stinks!

Re: feeling very scared after transfer
It is definitely hard to stay positive. I have been getting minor menstrual cramps which is really making me worried. I did start to get them the day before the transfer so i guess they wouldn't just go away. I know many women still do get cramps, but you know...it's one of those depressing things. I have never been so scared in my life.
