I feel really sorry for her kids. Can you imagine the trauma of not seeing your mom regularly for 15 months then losing your dad the same way for 3 years. Wow ! I wish they had given her house arrest instead.

In the house they obtained by fraudulent means? Hello no. She signed falsified documents....then decided to go on a reality tv show....then decided to declare bankruptcy for loans they shouldn't have obtained in the first place!
I feel bad for her kids too....that their parents are assholes.

don't care. u are not a good mom. if your children are your life, than you would lead a very different way of life to ensure you will always be there for them.
Agreed. I get feeling bad for the kids, but why do so many people feel bad for them or think she should've only gotten house arrest? She is not a good mom and set an awful example for her kids. They will be better off in someone else's care. They broke the law. They deserve to be punished for it.

I agree too!
Please atleast the kids will have one parent. How many times do they lock up both parents and don't give a second thought the kids. And she isn't as ditzy and innocent, she knew what she was doing.

I agree too!

You can get 54 days off per year for good behavior. So Teresa could be out in 13 months instead of 15.

Very close. anything 12 months and under is full time served. no "good behavior credit" is given. anything over 12 months they can get a good behavior credit for 15 percent time off. But there has to be absoulty no disciplinary action during their time.
eiter way - she is definitley spending time in jail.

I'm so disgusted that they are still carrying this thing on -- i almost wished they would have learned something and said, "we have been humbled today and we are taking our family out of the spotlight in order to reevaluate our impending jail time and reflect on the mistakes we made". if she was TRULY sorry, and TRULY humbled, she wouldn't be giving an interview on Monday.
Unless since they sold their souls to Bravo they HAVE to, otherwise they breach their contract.

The problem is that she was still deceiving the court up until the moment she was sentenced. This is federal court, not state court. The feds do no mess around. The judge was considering probation and Teresa messed it up. She is her own worst enemy. She deserved jail time

What gets me is her statement saying "TV isn't important" BULL to the SHIT! If it wasn't so important then why are you and your husband going to be sitting down with Andy Cohen Monday night?!?
Also, Bravo shouldn't be associating themselves with felons. I'm pretty sure if Apollo wanted to sit down with Andy and tell his side of the story he would be told to go scratch!
This really solidifies my hatred for Andy Cohen,

I get it but its my opinion...ignorance means that a person is unaware/uninformed. I am neither. Its just a difference in point of view. Teresa to me is not that smart so I do feel that Joe was the main culprit-I believe she should be punished but I also feel that someone needs to be there for the girls.

I don't justify their actions - but I don't think they have a choice. They need to make $$ to support their kids, pay off their $13M in debt - i'm not sure how many employment options they would have otherwise!!! And I think the only thing Bravo cares about is ratings.

Wow, I thought she was going to get probation. I truly believe she signed the papers Joe gave her blindly (although that doesn't exonerate her, she should have known better). I think the reason they agreed to a plea is because they thought she'd avid jailtime. I can't believe she is going to lose a year of her children's lives. That makes me so sad for her girls. She seems like a very involved mom. My mind says she deserves it, but my heart breaks for her.
I feel the same way. I feel terrible for their children.

Teresa isn't smart enough to con people, I really think her husband is the puppeteer in all of it, and she just went along with it. Regardless, that's not really an excuse, and unfortunately the punishment fits the crime. I do feel bad for her daughter's though!! I read she will likely only do 6 months.

P.S. none of this should be on TV or gamourized. It scares me that I will have to accept this as normalcy for my children someday.

That's entirely possible, although if that is the case, it is very fitting that they do what Bravo requires them to do, but not what the court requires them to do. (regarding the information they were supposed to provide.)
Also, as someone else mentioned, they need the money.
