finishing basement, adding a bathroom
How much did this cost you? My husband and I are looking to do 1 or the other, or both, but we don't know how much it will cost? Can you recommend anyone?

dh and i just did this - everything prob cost around 6K..dh did almost all the work himself, hired someone to do the spackling (which he gave us an awesome price on) and his friend is a plumber and we paid him, but probably worked out less then using someone else.we put a special toilet in the basement where you dont have to dig the hole, its like a sub pump( i think thats the right word), it is more $$ then a regular toilet but didnt really have room to dig out a whole for it. i can recommend the people we used if you would like

we are in the process of having ours finished, we added a 1/2 bath and have over 1000 sq feet. It is costing us 30k. FM me if you would like the name and number of our contractor. I will post pics shortly.
