First night in toddler bed, lord give me strength

Bella's been climbing out of the crib a lot recently so we finally converted her crib to a toddler bed. We made a huge deal out of it and she was so excited.

Now she's been in bed 30 minutes, been up at least 5 times and screams everytime we put her back. It's so heartbreaking. This is worse than when she went into the crib!

Please send me some strength, this is going to be a long night.Chat Icon

She will dose off soon. It's just a novelty to her right now. Stay strong, Li!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: First night in toddler bed, lord give me strength

It was VERY difficult for us to make the transition. DS would just constantly get up and cry and we ended up putting a lock on his door until he fell asleep, but then we worried that we couldn't see what he was doing in his room. So we had to lie down with him until he fell asleep, and even then he woke up in the middle of the night for several weeks and came into our bed, and he had NEVER slept in our bed before. But I am happy to tell you that after about a month...maybe 5 weeks, he suddenly started staying in his bed and sleeping there through the night.
