Question regarding naps and your toddler
When did your toddler give up naps completely? and how did you know they were ready?
Just curious because my almost 2 1/2 year old has been fighting me for weeks now about taking a nap. She cries and screams for sometimes 15 min. Usually she gets up before 6am but today was the first day she slept till 7:30. I was wondering if I should give up trying to make her take a nap?
thank you

Re: Question regarding naps and your toddler
Alex gave up naps at about 2.5 as well. I thought it was a bit early for him but he would fight me like crazy, so I gave up.

Re: Question regarding naps and your toddler
My DD was 3 in September and I still manage to get her down for a nap. Around 3-4 mos. ago, she started resisting, but I told her she doesn't have to sleep, but she does need to "relax." So I put her up there with a book or two and 90% of the time, she falls asleep for at least an hour. Sometimes, I wrestle her in there, but she sleeps...can you tell I'm a SAHM??

Re: Question regarding naps and your toddler
DD is 27 months & still napping daily for 1 - 1 1/2 hours but will be fine if she misses it on occassion. I'll try to keep it for as long as possible.
