first period after mc/d&c?
its been 27 days since my d&c. i took a leftover hpt and it was neg so no more hcg in my system.
wondering when you got your first period post loss? online says 4-6 weeks, but wondering about personal experiences. also was it terribly painful and heavy? ty

I got my period exactly 31 days after the d&c. I was expecting it to be really heavy and painful, but it wasn't at all. It was pretty normal.

I had a natural miscarriage at a little over 7 weeks and I got my period exactly 29 days from when my original bleeding stopped. I had been testing for O during the month and my body regulated pretty quick.

okay...so it seems pretty much any time now for af to come. its so weird to want af after all this time trying to get bfps. oh well :) ty again

Exactly 4 weeks after my D&C which was also 28 days.
It was VERY heavy so dont get alarmed. I got a little nervous but I found out the first period after a D&C can be very heavy so I knew it was normal; but it still scared me.
I didnt even wear tampons......I wore pads the whole week b/c I wanted to monitor how heavy it was. It started tapering on Day3/Day4.

I had a mc at the 10/11 week mark. I also had a D&C.
My first period...I honestly cannot remember how long it took to come. But I do remember it was definitely different. It was not only heavier but also there were more clots, a lot more. That went on for a few cycles actually. The cramps were also more intense for me.
Eventually I went back to normal period wise.. i'd say about 3 cycles later. And 6 cycles later by boobs were back to normal.

Both times I got my first AF 5 weeks post d&c. They were no heavier or more painful then before.

i was told to not wear tampons for a few cycles for a risk of infection.

25 days after my D&C I got AF (so just today). But I was miscarrying naturally prior to D&C so I wonder if that is why I got mine so fast? Also I Oed 10 days ago, but my body must have been eager to do some shedding, yuck.
My cramps are a 10 on the richter scare, worst EVER.
