first time IUI scheduled
Tomorrow we have our 1st IUI and then another on Thurs!
The injectible is being delivered today to my house & I am so nervous to do the shot! when exactly do I do it? right when I get home? before bed?
The IUI is later in the day tomorrow 3ish.
Anyone w/experience pls FM me some info.

Usually they do the trigger about 24 hrs prior to the 1st IUI. Being that you are having back-to-backs you should be fine if you do the trigger today around 3. Good luck!!!!

You should be ok, being that you are having another one done on Thurs. It is not that bad, giving yourself the shot. Make sure you pinch the skin, it helps. Then lay there for a minute. For soem reason I got light headed, never happened the other times, I think it was the mixture of nerves, excitement, etc. Good luck.

I get back back to back w/ Dr.B and have always triggered around 9pm regardless of when my IUIs are scheduled the next two days. You should O 12-36hrs later.
Good luck!!  How many follies?
ETA: The Ovidrel shot is nothing. You can look up videos on Freedom Fertility's website or even youtube!  It's simple and foolproof- though I always have my dh do it for me!

you should ask your doctor the reccomended time to trigger based on the IUI timing. i always did mine at night right before bed, but we always did timed intercourse so the timing wasnt as important. but for IVF i had to time it very specifically.
the injection itself is not a big deal. just ice the area first for like 5 minutes directly with an ice cube and the area will be so numb you will barely feel anything. then alcohol swab, poke, and inject. it will take less than 30 seconds.

It wasnt bad at all! I didnt even ice it. DH was more nervous than I was..he couldnt even watch
