Flying w/ 1 Year Old
Has anyone ever UPS shipped baby items like diapers, wipes, food, etc. to vacation destination before arriving?
Also, I'm bringing my Maclaren. Should I purchase one of those special travel cases for it?
Thanks!

Re: Flying w/ 1 Year Old
Never had food or stuff shipped, but a friend of mine did and had no issues.
We took our MacClaren too and DH wanted to buy a cover for it. It was worth it b/c you don't have to worry about the stroller getting all scratched up
Actually, even happier we got one b/c when we got off the plane our stroller was in the bag waiting for us. I guess there were two other families with similiar strollers so someone took the wrong one and left the one family with the wrong one. We were happy ours was in the case with our name on it so no one made that mistake. Just a thought

ah... good to know! Thanks a lot! I think it's definitely worht investing in! Do they always have the strollers waiting when you exit the plane ot does it sometimes just go on the baggage carousel?

anything you gate check will be outside the plane waiting for you. That's probably why some family grabbed the wrong stroller leaving the other family to take the only other stroller left. No one took ours b/c of the bag it was in.
We haven't used it since, but something we think about when we have to pack up the stroller or when we go on our next trip.

Re: Flying w/ 1 Year Old
We have flown with the kids 3 times now. We brought our single and our double stroller along with a carseat. The airline tagged the stroller and carseat for us wth our names on them and were waiting for us when we beboarded the flight.
We had our insurance company send formula to florida for one trip and we packed some in our suitcase for another. I've done both packing diapers and gone shopping for them as well. For us, the deciding factor was if we were going to be able to actually shop for everything vs. bringing it. The cost of shipping it didn't make sense to me since I was able to run to Target nearby where we were staying. Having a rental car was a big help with that. If no rental car or place to shop - I would say pack it or ship it
