your little spin stinks and wreaks of racism IMO
I had a feeling that one was coming. But honestly do you really believe if it was the other way around that things wouldn't be diffferent? Is it okay that he isn't being condemned for it?

Re: Food For Thought (Election Related) Fixed
I would say that a huge percentage of congressman & senators have been convicted of crimes ranging from embezzlement to fraud. Accepting a financial contribution from someone is minor.
As for the "Church" I belong to, I go to the catholic church & don't believe or agree with everythign that is said from the pulpit. I think bringing my children there doesnt mean I am raising them to believe in that doctrine or that I believe in every tenement spewed from that church.
For my political career being started by a domestic terrorist, how was it started? Did he contribute to my campaign? I know firsthand that the recipient of the campaign contributions rarely know who contributed. So if he contributed, I wouldn't know him. As for his association with an Iraqi billionaire - well, he's a terrorist as you've said so that would make sense. Just because someone contributes to a campaign or I've met someone does not mean I know the Iraqi billionaire. And if I did...I'd be expecting better things that campaign contributions. If I've met the guy & seems like a nice guy, it doesn't mean I know him, all of his associates. I'm sure there are people that have met a family member of mine, had them over for dinner & don't realize what a true piece of work he is - or what he's into.
eta. and I'm sure the family member could run for public office too.
I think you've been listening to Fox News too much.

Re: Food For Thought (Election Related) Fixed
ah, gotta give the grand ol' party credit... they totally know how to run a smear campaign..... just the right balance of inflammatory insinuation to loosely verifiable facts....
mix the 2 together, and it sounds like the DNC nominated bin laden. genius.
too bad for them that it isn't true.
oh, and IMO this post plays the race card, for sure, but isn't racist.... becuase the GOP is famous for trying to slam the cr@p out of any DNC candidate.
oh look! you can see the swiftboats sailing into the harbor again. must be a leap year

Can anyone just answer the original question? Do you think things would be different if it was the other way around? I know this is a serious question on a lot of people's minds.

I thought I did.
Race wouldn't matter whether or not he'd have a shot at the presidency- whether he was black or white.
I say he would. I've listed my reasons above.

I won't because the premise is somewhat fictional IMO
In order for the qestion to be taken seriously, a poster must accept your post as fact.
