H2O in Smithtown-they treat us great there great sushi, good menu and interesting wine dinners on Wed. nights
Casa Luis-Spanish in Commack great Sabngria and Gambas Ajillo(shrimp in garlic butter)
The Grill Room-Hauppauge, a little hidden treasure in the Industrial Park-great city atmosphere, awesome tuna carpaccio pizza 1/2 price wine on Mondays and 1/2 price entrees on Tues.

Lori I think I've only been to one or two since I'm always in Brooklyn or Queens.
But I like Umberto's in New Hyde Park.

My favorite is the Irish Coffee Pub. Great service and amazing food! I also love the Cooperage Inn (which Tara introduced me to!) and Bayberry Cafe in Islip (DH and I had our first date there  ).

I love Mi Tierrita. They have two locations: Brentwood and Hempstead. Not only is the food to die for, they make the best sangria. If I was able to, I'd eat there every day!!
Omg- My husband LOVES Mi Territa!
I think they just opened one up in Patchogue too.

Yes, it's good. It's very small and it isnt the best decor, but the food is great - I prefer it over Famous Daves, Big Al's, etc.

My new favorite is Grand Lux, we had the Molten Chocolate cake for dessert- sooo yummy!
I cook a lot too, but love to go out when we can, usually 1 time a week.

food is consistantly wonderful, very varied menu and DH and I seem to always have the same waitress since we started going there 9 years ago
Collins & MAin >> also Sayville and a bit $ Awesome for a special meal, we do our 4x yearly ladies nights there

Its actually for me....Papa Razzi on jericho tpk and glen cove road..i love the food..i love the atmosphere..its just an overall feeling I get when i go there...
thats where i had my rehearsal dinner 
i'm not telling my favorite place- i hate wait times as they are...
but my runner up is Chili's.. because they have 2-for-1 margariatas (that counts as food--its fruity and stuff)

I loved the atmosphere here... so nice and not what I expected. The food was pretty good too.
I don't know if I can pick one favorite. When I lived there we really liked Rothmann's for steak, Toque in Bellmore (I think the name changed recently,) Gatsby's in Islip. Piccolo in Huntington used to be my absolute favorite, but we were disappointed last time we were there.
eta: we also really liked the Blue Room in Northport (or E. Nthpt?)

I really love Benihana (Westbury or Manhasset -- makes no difference!), but since I moved out east I go to Gasho (Hauppauge).
I also love Carrabbas (Nesconset). Food is great in there!

Chilis is my runner up too!!! for southwest eggrolls and of course their 2 for1s..and they have that dessert there the chocolate chip paradise pie that is OMG so awesome!!!!

It is not a fancy place, but the food is excellent. And anything with the "dragon sauce" is amazing!

Blue Moon in Rockville Centre. Nothing fancy but the paninis are to die for!! I drove 40 minutes for a grilled veggie panini 7 mos pregnant 
other faves are La Pace, Tellers, H2O
