For CIO mommies.......
We have always done CIO. Now just recently my DS has started to cry again EVERY time I put him down for a nap or for bedtime. Only for minutes, but pretty hard EVERY time. Is this normal? Any other CIOers have a DC that cries every time you put them down still?

Re: For CIO mommies.......
Yes, Ava would go through stages where she would cry for a few minutes. It was every 6 or 7 months or so.

Thank you for responding so quickly. If you don't mind me asking, how long did these stages usually last? DS has cried all but one night this whole week and I'm just not used to that anymore.

I don't know, sometimes a couple of nights, sometimes a couple of weeks. However, the first thing I would always jump to if she did this more than a few nights was an ear infection because about 4 times that's what the problem really was. But, I'm sure that's not the case for you

So funny you should mention that b/c I just took my DS to the doctor on Thursday thinking the EXACT same thing, since he is prone to them as well. But nope, ears are beautiful the doctor said, so ???? I thought for sure we would have an ear infection, but nope... I just this doesn't last much longer.

Re: For CIO mommies.......
Well, the only other thing I can suggest is maybe he's getting some teeth in, because that always did it for Ava, too, but of course, when she got her 1 year and then her 2 year molars in, she also got a double ear infection at the same time But I digress....I would def. check back with the ped. about his ears in a few days if he still has a problem going down beacuse there's been so many times that I've brought Ava to the ped. for a possible ear infection, her ears were great, but hten days later, we were back in the office with full blown infections. We know our babies best, so don't put that thought to rest completely. I hope you get some answers and hopefully it's just a stubborn streak!

Re: For CIO mommies.......
Thank you so much, but I do know he is cutting his two year top molars now, so maybe that's it. But I thought they weren't bothering him as much today since we actually has a FULL day here with not one temper tantrum. That's unheard of in our house lately.........
