Re: For moms that had vaginal births
With Sarah it was about an hour I think.
With Andy it was well over 2 hours. It would have been less than 20 mins, but the cord was wrapped around his neck a few times and wasn't long enough for him to get out. Once my doc was able to cut the cord it was only one more push. The nurse kept telling me I wasn't pushing hard enough when I kept telling her there was a problem.

Re: For moms that had vaginal births
1st time - about 3hours (I had no feeling for the 1st hour from the epi). 2nd time - less than 10 minutes - it was wonderful!!

just about an hour I think it was 10 minutes (I was told 5 contractions worth). I also went from 6cm to having delivered her in an hour

Re: For moms that had vaginal births
Not sure--it all got hazy at that point, but I think about 20 minutes the first time, then the doctor told me to rest a bit. The second time probably half an hour, so about 45 minutes, an hour tops total?
It couldn't have happened soon enough though.

Re: For moms that had vaginal births
1 hour, BUT my OB was called into emergency surgey. She said she wouldn't leave me, but this baby was coming now. She called in 2 nurses, pushed DH away and the fun began. The 2 nurses pushed down on my belly and the OB went in with both hands. It was awful, but fast

Re: For moms that had vaginal births
12 minutes. Not sure how many pushes. The doctor thought it was very impressive for a 1st timer with an epidural who couldn't feel anything!
