For those who had early walkers...

how early are we talking here??

Joey just started today to book it across the room with his push toy, he use to (& in use to, I mean yesterday Chat Icon) push his arms out but couldn't get his legs under and would end up almost face planting. . .

so my question is am I going to have an early walker on my hands??? and how early?

I can't even begin to think of him walking already (he doesn't even have a tooth!!!) Chat Icon . . .this all goes to fast

(joey is 8.5 months)

Re: For those who had early walkers...

Eliza was cruising at barely 7 months. The ped was floored watching her cruise around the exam room when we were there for Madelyn's 2 year appointment.

She took her first steps at 9 months and was full-on walking at 10 months.

She's also into EVERYTHING. Climbs on EVERYTHING.Chat Icon

10 months. It was soon after he took a few steps unassisted and stood without holding onto anything for long periods of time.

this is going to be Joey. He climbs and pulls up on ANYTHING & EVERYTHING, his current favorites the fireplace, doors, baskets, laundry baskets, the fridge. . I swear he hears the fridge open and BOOKS IT across the kitchen.

god help me Chat Icon

Re: For those who had early walkers...

I walked between 9 to 10 months. But I also skipped crawling all together.

eta: my mom bought a push toy for DS, she keeps it her house, one day I come to pick him up, he's leaning against it and standing, he was 4.5m at the time Chat Icon It lasted all but 3 seconds, but I was like I don't know if this is good or bad... Chat Icon

I know Chat Icon I got to daycare today and Michele was like. . ."stay right there, watch this. . ." went from one side of the room to the other with the push toy (TWICE) I was like "whaaaaaaaaaaat he didn't do this yesterday!!!!". . She said she was in the kitchen area and saw him do it and she thought it was another little boy, she was in shock too! She was like "devon. . .he is going to walk really early" I took a video of it tonight, although you'll just see it tomorrow.

Re: For those who had early walkers...

If he starts walking soon, Id like to see how this plays out when mom has him and Eddie and he can REALLY chase Eddie around and get into his stuff Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

This coupled with his really cute attempt to say "Eddie", I just cant take it!

Re: For those who had early walkers...

DS didn't crawl until he was 9 months (literally on the day of his 9 month b'day he started crawling). He look his first steps a week later and was running around our house by 10 months Chat Icon . (DH and I think that he didn't really crawl because he really just wanted to walk.)

Re: For those who had early walkers...

DD cruised at 7.5/8 months
took her first steps 1 week shy of 10 months
and now shes been walking everywhere, almost running and shes 11.5 months.

it took her i'd say 3 weeks when she took her first 6 steps by herself to fully get the idea of walking :)

its so much easier when they walk :)
atleast for me !!
