For those who used the Fisher Price Rock N' Play
Did you have any issues transitioning your baby to their cribs after using this?
I am concerned that my DD will get used to sleeping upright and then have a heard time being flat in the crib when it is time to move her.
Thanks!!

No. Acutally she slept 100 times better in the crib. I was SHOCKED.
I think she was getting too big and she enjoyed the room in the crib- she was able to roll around, move all over the place and get comfy.

Re: For those who used the Fisher Price Rock N' Play
The 1st few nights I thought there were issues...until I realized that moving all over a crib is how babies sleep. I was up ALL night staring at the video monitor her 1st few nights in her crib (sometime in the 4-5 mo range). But once I realized it was ok and normal for her to be moving all over - I was ok. She did fine...it may take a few nigths for them to get used to it but it shouldn't be too big an issue. I did transition her to the pack-n-play first...so she was still in my room - then after a few weeks in that she went to her crib.

I have the same question. How old was your DD when you transitioned her?

Nope. Transitioned her somewhere around 8 or10 weeks without a problem. I wanted to do it before we stopped swaddling so she would get used to the environment but still be kind of confined in the swaddle.

Wasn't there a whole thread about how you're not supposed to actually put them to sleep in it? I remember being surprised since it's called "Rock n Play SLEEPER". I have no experience with it but my 5 week old is starting to get cranky in the night and im thinking of options.

Yes, it was impossible to transition her, I won't sugar coat this! We tried at 2, 3, then 4 months and it was a nightmare... I think at 5 months we stuck to our guns and just did it.

Re: For those who used the Fisher Price Rock N' Play
Around 6-7 weeks I would put her in the crib sometimes, so it wasn't that hard of a transition for her.
She is still swaddled in the crib, so doesnt seem to mind it.
Now at 12 weeks, she is 95% in the crib at night. I think she sleeps a little better in the Rock n PLay because of the incline and snuggled up, but I want her used to the crib.

They absolutely can sleep in it--it is an approved sleeping device.
There are nearly 600 reviews on Amazon and for some reason the 10 that mention the baby getting a flat spot scare the cr*p out of people. You have to move the baby's head around in ANYTHING they sleep in, so this may have had to do with those parents neglecting to do that.
It is honestly a lifesaver for most moms. I can't imagine us NOT having it.

We had no problem....we transitioned her around 2-3 months and she was still swaddled. I think she actually slept much better in the crib--that is when she started sleeping through the night!

Re: For those who used the Fisher Price Rock N' Play
We transitioned DS to the crib at 4 months (almost a month ago) He goes to sleep fine at first but usually at around 2:30 /3 am we have to go in to give him back his pacifier and he also wakes up earlier since being in there! In the Rock n Play we never had to replace his paci!!!!

.
i didn't neglect moving my sons head and he still got a flat head - as well as many other babies i personally know that have used that rocker.
there is a hard piece of plastic on the back -- the babys head is resting on it for about 8 hrs or so at night--- doesn't matter if u turn the babys head - chances are your LO will turn and face forward anyway... therefore getting a flat head
personally i would try to transition your lo sooner than later.

Same here. I was expecting issues, but one night she started sleeping poorly in the RNP so I put her in the crib and she slept great.
