IMO the fact that i never forget really gets in the way of ever being able to really forgive

yup.. i forgive. life's too short to hold grudges, and Honestly, i dont think anyone's worth the effort it takes to hold a grudge, anyway 
i dont forget... but i also dont Actively remember... back to the whole 'most people arent worth it anyway' theory

Same here. I can forgive the first time, maybe the second that someone does something. But its sooo hard to forget and that definitely gets in the way of truly forgiving.
