When i gutted my first house - i found a big surprise in behind the bathroom room ----- used razor bladesChat Icon

Apparantly in the 60's they used to have a slot on the wall where you just put the blades in when you were done with themChat Icon



We had that too! So strange!!!!!!!!

Turns out it was a free give away in the 50s and was supposed to cover a bottle of dish soap

And then our entire attic was lined not with insulation, but pristine newspapers from the 1940s and 1950s. It was SO cool to read them and see the ads and what not. Chat Icon

We found a cancelled check from 1956 for their homeowners insurance & a dime bag of pot (in the wall when DH ripped down a wall).

That's funny you said that. There is an old medicine cabinet in our basement and it has a slot that says razor blades.

we found a sword from pakistan in the ceiling of the basement
and a HUGE crucifix with jesus on it on top of the hot water heater

when I say huge it was about 2 feet long.

A box of baking soda in the refridgerator, the guy cleaned out the place well. To be honest we kept the baking soda and we still have it!
