from crib to twin bed?
DS went from crib to twin bed this weekend. He did very well!!!! The railing is like one on a bunk bed (open at the top and bottom). Should I put pillows on the floor in case or maybe move the railing so it is only opened at the bottom? I'm worried about him failing out...

Re: from crib to twin bed?
How old is he?
We moved Kaitee to a twin bed with a railing at 17 months old. She did fall once (not while sleeping, it was while she was playing) and she then learned the right way to get up and down. She has never fallen off while sleeping. I am sure he would be fine.

We just moved Andrew to a toddler bed this weekend
I put pillows on the floor just in case.

Re: from crib to twin bed?
I though the same thing but instead I didnt use the box spring and DH put a piece of wood down so the mattress wouldnt fall through the bedrails and the matress is closer to the ground. They arent heavy enough to ruin the mattress or hurt their backs without the boxspring. i still have it on the bedrails just no box spring.. m not worried with it this low plus it never has happened and DD is 21/2 we switched her about 3 months ago.l

Re: from crib to twin bed?
I rolled up a comforter and laid it on the ground. I will warn you that he will most likely fall out. Mine did it a number of times and most of the times, I woke up from the THUMP, but he remained sleeping! lmao
BTW,we went from crib to a twin teen bed. We didn't do a toddler bed.

Re: from crib to twin bed?
He know how to climb in and out without a problem... I think I will try the comforter or push the ottoman over for a few days/weeks.

Re: from crib to twin bed?
Next thing I need to teach him is no jumping on the bed and no shoes on the bed
