Re: Fun Post - Kids Say the Funniest Things - Share yours
We've been trying to teach Lily to say "please" when she wants something.....so this morning, as she was playing, she kept saying, "Mommy, say please." And after I said it, she'd say "ooookay".
I guess I know she's listening!

Another Cars related one
Christopher told me that he is Lightning McQueen and Maggie (our dog) is Mater, which I find adorable.
So I asked him: "What about Mommy and Daddy?"
He goes "Hmmm, Mommy, you are a nice race car and Daddy is the MAD race car"
My DH is a crank, so this made me
He also sings EVERYTHING.
And he will go "Mommy, I was so worried about you when I was at Pop-Pop's house"

Athan out of no where - running around asking anyone who will listen - "Does your butt hurt?" in Greek and laughing hysterically because that's what we ask him if he has a rash when we change his diaper. At least it's in Greek so no one understands him in public...

we have the same pissin cup issue here!! dh had no idea what he was talking about...running around looking for his little pissin cup. DH thought I really had a cup I let him pee in
Yesterday, DH was making PBJ for Josh...he is singing to Josh that he doesn't think he's ready for this jelly... Josh says what song is that? DH says bootylicious.
Later on that night, Josh paid me compliment of a lifetime, letting me know how bootylicious he thinks i am.

This morning DS was playing quietly and Sesame Street was on in the background. All of a sudden he looks up and goes "hey mom, my friend Elmo is on the TV." And he likes to play games on DH's Iphone- specifically Blades of Fury. In the game they say something about "freedom and glory." He was downstairs playing with our tenant the ther day and they came upstairs and my tenant asks me, "who's Frita and Gordon? Luca keeps saying their names." At first I was like but when it occurred to me what he was saying I almost peed my pants.

DC's have know the actual words for their private for a long time. Daycare must be telling DS that some words are "private". His latest thing (500 times a day) is to announce what words are private...lol...
Recent conversation at Trader Joe's in front of 213 people... DS: "Mommy, PENIS is a private word. Vaaaaah-ginaaaah is a private word. Belly (practically whispering) is not a private word???"
ME: {{{{{{silence, looking down}}}}} OK, milk- check, cereal-check, bread- check
DS: "Nipple is a private word. I like nipples. You have nipples???"
ME: {{{{{thinking}}}}} Dear gods of heaven and earth, I ask you to create an abyss in this frozen food aisle. Please let it it swallow me and carry me to the depth of the Earth... NOW!!!"
I actually laughed so loud that Damien came to see why.
The other day Damien told me he loves hamburgers so much he should marry some chopmeat.
Jaidy calls her nipples "pickles", and when I put lotion on her after her bath she always has to have her own so she can put the lotion on her "pickles"

The other night I was putting my DS to bed when Daddy got home from his "Thursday boys night out." He has a LOT of drinks on this night. He comes in to lay in bed with DS and tell him goodnight and DS just wanted Mommy (of course, he's a SERIOUS Mama's boy). DH gets up and I lay down next to him while he finished his milk. He looks over at me serious as he can be and says....
"He drives me nuts"
I almost died!

Re: Fun Post - Kids Say the Funniest Things - Share yours
DD has very dry skin (like me) and I always have to lather her up with lotion after a bath. Last night I was putting lotion on her and she was like, "Mama, I'm sick of this game." It was so cute. At ToysRUs yesterday, she kicked a ball around the store and was yelling at the top of her lungs, "hey! ball! come back here, ball!" She cracks me up.
Also, any time DD sees me naked she points at my parts and says, "uh oh! what happened?"

This didn't happen to me but I crack up everytime...
My friend was cleaning up the house..had the windows open and noticed some people (Jehovah witnesses) walking up to her house...
Out of the blue, she says...You gotta be f**king kidding me! She turned around and her daughter (who was 3 at the time) was standing right there. Hoping that her daughter didn't hear what she said, she opened up the door after they knocked on it.
They say hello and start going into their speech when her daughter says..."You gotta be f**king kidding me!" to these people. My friend turns to them and says...yeah...now is not a good time right now and closed the door while being mortified.

My 6 year old DD said to us the other morning, mom & dad, what are you doing in here (we were laying in bed - it was the morning) and we said just relaxing having alone time. She goes....alone time, you have kids, you don't get alone time. It was priceless

Wait, I have another one!!!!
Last Sunday, we were at church. When my DH went up for communion, Becky went with him. The whole way back from receiving, Becky asked loudly, over and over again, "Dad, how come that king didn't give me a chip??"
You can't make this stuff up!!
aw man that is awesome!

When DS was younger, I was telling DH a story about a little boy in the neighborhood and I said he comes from a broken home and DS heard me and said " no mommy, his home isn't broken, it's an apartment!"

This one never gets old to me...
Christopher seems to think all girls are "princesses" and all boys are "Kings". He says Maggie and I are princesses and he and Daddy are kings.
So, I ask him "What about Pop pop and Gandma?" he gets all serious and says "Pop pop is a princess and Gandma is a king"

DD walked in as I was changing my pants the other day. I have a small (not even the size of an eraser) beauty mark on the back of my upper thigh (I have a few on my face too, they're like freckles).
She comes running over, touches it and says "Awwwww.....I love your little cutie" NO CLUE why she called it a "cutie", or why she even noticed it since it's small...I have a few on my face that she's never ever acknowledged
It was just such a cute little thing, almost like she was giving me props for having such a cute "cutie"

Re: Fun Post - Kids Say the Funniest Things - Share yours
Oh, and another one. She's obsessed with The Fresh Beat Band even though she's never seen the show...just from the commercials on NickJr.
Well, she knows all of their names. But she keeps asking me what the one girl's name is (Marina). I tell her "Marina" and she says Berita every single time, then CRACKS UP because I crack up It's just so funny, the kid can pronounce encyclopedia but can't/won't say "Marina"
She does this when the kids are dancing on Yo Gabba Gabba and say their names too. It will be "Henry" or something and she'll say "His name is Wendry" and she'll say funny names for the kids every time they come on, even though she hears them perfectly fine. But she knows it makes me laugh and it makes her belly laugh too

DS (20 months old) learned to say Santa just after Thanksgiving! Over 2 months later he is STILL Santa obcessed!
If he gets upset....like if I reprimand him for something.....the bottom lip quivers....and I get "Saaaantaaaaaa"
The average kid cries for Daddy....mine wants Santa if Mommy is a meany!!!!

Had to bump this with one of my funny things.....
Sis is watching G one day. Calls me at work to tell me that she was playing with her playhouse dolls, the mom and dad and has the two FULL blown making out!
My sis asked G, uh so what are mommy and daddy doing? She says, "MAKING LOVE!"
My sis containing herself, then says oh and who does that? G replies, "My mommy and daddy MAKE LOVE every day! "
I was CRYING!
We kiss every am before work and she says dont kiss my mommy or daddy (depends on her mood) and we tell her, G its cause we LOVE each other! Hence how she got the MAKE LOVE thing!
