Funny/old-time sayings - do you say any?
My mom always said "I have more blank than Carter has liver pills."
I find myself saying it all the time.
Like just now I said to a co-worker "I have more wrapping paper than Carter has liver pills."
My mom also calls conditioner "creme rinse" and blush "rouge".

What a fun post!
My Mom still calls people "Huckleberries" if they are a little dense or foolish. I find myself using the term sometimes.

My grandfather use to say "you look sharp" if we were dressed nice. On father's day, I said this to DS.

So many of my relatives do that!
My grandmother used to say that a person was "swell" when she meant that they were either rich or fancy.
Some of my relatives still say "fella" or "fellow" for a guy.

Re: Funny/old-time sayings - do you say any?
dungarees is one of them!! =)
and I also call a fire hydrant a "johnny pump", I was brought up saying that, and my friends including my DH never heard it called that before! They were laughing so hard when I called it that!
I am sure there are tons of others I just can't remember them right now, a lot are italian words though.
One of my friends grandmother growing up would say "i am gonna fix your wagon!" That meant real business!

My dad says gal and fella.
I don't think I do any. Although I do refer to people as sharp dressers.

DH says to "mind" something instead of to babysit. He also once asked me "why the shades drawn", when I had closed the curtains.

My Nana called my jacket "the cat's pajamas" one time and I thought it was hilarious. I say it from time to time. My kids think it's funny too

Re: Funny/old-time sayings - do you say any?
My Dad is the MASTER of old sayings....sometimes I just shake my head in disbelief with some of the things that he digs up from the 1950s LOL
"Dapper Dan"
"Doobie" or "blowing the boo"
"Happier than a clam at high tide"
"Colder than a well digger's ankle"
and the list goes on and on...

OMG cream rinse, we used to call it that when I was little.
