Gas drops vs. gripe water
Can someone please explain the difference? My LO seems to be having a lot of gas... She's always lunging during feedings and pushing her legs up to her chest. Do I give her gas relief drops once every 3 feedings... Before or after feeding?

Re: Gas drops vs. gripe water
I could be wrong - but I differentiated it as the following. DS was colicky and when it was clear he was having major discomfort and perhaps hadn't had a bowel movement I would do the water.
On a regular basis I would give him the drops... like 3 times a day...
Hope that helps

Re: Gas drops vs. gripe water
I was just asking my ped about this yesterday- he recommended the gas drops specifically for the gas issue because of the simethicone or whatever the hell that ingredient is called... He said that ingredient is what really helps the gas. I also have an all-natural gripe water (Colic Cure) that we use proactively to try and prevent colic, aid it, help with bowel movements, gas, fussiness, etc. which we feel works great but when it appears that it is gas as the main issue and it's really bothering him, ped said go with the gas drops. Just last night we gave him the drops and it really seemed to help tremendously. We bought the BRU brand, if that helps :)

Re: Gas drops vs. gripe water
My ped told me they do the "same thing" but some babies respond to them differently. In my case my LO has terrible gas pains and the gas drops helped but not 100%. One day i personally was in tear with gas and took gas-x which is the same ingredient and it did squat. The next day i bought cvs gripe water and my LO is 10x better. Still gassy but huuuuuge difference. I never would have thought to switch as ive heard great things about mylecon so i figured it had to be working but once i saw it had no effect on me i had my doubts.
Just my experience
