Gas is $3.29 by my house!
There are two gas stations on the same street, and one is selling gas for $3.29, the other for $3.33. There is a line of cars going down the block for both. I had to run an errand in Mineola today, and gas was $3.99 there. How are these places selling it for 70 cents a gallon cheaper???
The 2 stations are in West Islip, a Valero and a Delta, on Higbie La. in between Sunrise Hwy. and Montauk Hwy.
I just filled up last night for $3.73 a gallon so I didn't need any, but thought I'd pass along the info...

Was it a typo or something? Gas by me here is FL is $3.79 and the most I seen cheaper is by .10 cent. That sounds awfully cheap but hey if it is there I would take it. Every bit you save counts.

one of thoses places did it a month or so ago, and news 12 even went there to show the line it was drawing.
how are they doing it?? maybe they still have gas left at that price, they say it takes aprox. 2 weeks before the barrel price actually makes it to the pump, so maybe there not feeling the increase yet

Yeah, I noticed the Valero station on the way to the craft fair today. Lines were CRAZY!!

i went to visit my parents today and saw 
i don't know how they're doing it but i didn't mind waiting on line for gas today!

It is always a lot more in Mineola for some reason. I work there and live in Holbrook and there is a huge difference. Except last week when it went up in Holbrook and stayed the same in Mineola

I wonder if it had anything to do with the West Islip Country Fair - Higbie La. is the road you'd take to get there if you came from Sunrise Hwy.
I'll check if it's cheap again today and report back!

hempstead turnpike in east meadow- at the corner of walmart- one gas station is 3.69, the other is 3.99 and a ghost town

they can do it because it's completely overpriced to begin with. they are STILL making a profit at 3.29.
