I had a cervadil inserted...nothing happened.

12 hours later another cervadil..dilated 1CM. No contractions no progession

Then they started with the pitocin...still no contractions no more dilation..no progression

This went on for 2 days..finally the morning of the 3rd day the doctor scheduled a c-section. When they opened me up they saw DDs head was stuck..they literally had to tug hard in order to get her out. Good thing was I never got strong contractions during my failed induction. Good luck

With DS2 (born last month) - got Cervadil at 9pm. Couldn't eat or walk for 2 hours. Could have eaten after, but it was 11pm - so didn't bother. Had breakfast, then got pitocin around 7:45am. Got epidural around 10:30am,right before my water was broken.

Delivered DS at 3:17pm.

Was also induced by cervadil/pitocin with my first one. Am a big fan of the combination…..would do it again in a heartbeat - - - though we're done at 2!

My sister had 2 easy, wonderful inductions with Pitocin only.

I failed mine (3rd baby) last week, but went home (my water never broke & my contractions just were not strong after 2 days of pitocin & cytotec). Going in today to get baby out one way or another.

when inserting and removing cervidil I think they were reaching for my throat. Only had it with my 1st. Pitocin for both.

My 1st was cervidil about 10 pm removed at 10 am and started pitocin. broke water about 1 ish. born just after 7.

#2- pitcoin at 9/10 am born at 3 something.

I had great labors. pushed for under a half hour for both.

I was induced with both my pregnancies after my water broke. Thank goodness I wrote done my experiences after giving birth bc my brain has since shut them down! I did get cervadil with my second baby and the plan was to give me Pitocin after- after about 10 hours on the cervadil (no moving no eating- my water had broken), I started contracting- I was exhausted and couldn't deal with the pain so I asked for an epidural. They thought it would slow me down but instead I finally relaxed after the epidural and fully dilated shortly therafter, - no Pitocin!-
my peanut was born shortly thereafter!

They started the induction process at 35w3d. Started with cytotect, X 2, the cervadril, neither worked, by day 2 they let me rest all day and gave me a break. That night they ended up doing a balloon catheter that did very little and that's when they started the pit and a little later they gave me an epi (this was day 3). My water broke and shortly after ds went into distress and ended up having a c-section. My c-section recovery was faster and easier than my friends who had v-deliveries. No pain mess needed. The hardest part for me was (and 10 months later still is) my blood pressure and getting it under control.

Finally delivered DD via c section this morning after a 75 hour failed induction. I'll post my birth story some day in the near future but I'm in so much pain and have barely slept since Friday night.

I had a failed Cervidil and pitocin induction (my water broke on my own but I failed to progress). 68 hours and ended with an emergency C. Horrible experience - my birth story is posted.
