girls that had vaginal birth...
How long did you push for?
Also did you wait the full 6 weeks before DTD?

Re: girls that had vaginal birth...
2 - 2 1/2 hours - way too long IMO...think it wouldnt have been so long if it wasnt during the night and doc was sleeping!
DTD is still problematic...dont know if it was anything to do with pushing for that length or the episiotomy or that I am still EBF..whatever it is it hurts like hell still...poor DH

Re: girls that had vaginal birth...
I pushed for an hour and a half and had an episiotomy as well as a pretty significant tear. I feel fine now but still fighting off DH at 4wks pp. I go to the dr. in 2wks so we'll see what she says.

Re: girls that had vaginal birth...
I had a VBAC in May. I pushed for almost 3 hours with the epi on the whole time.
I got sick and was in the hospital with a kidney infection and on antibiotics after Lauren was born, so we delayed any activities until about 10 weeks

Re: girls that had vaginal birth...
I pushed for about 2 hours, felt shorter then that though.
We waited to DTD until around 8 weeks I had torn alot and all my stiches weren't gone yet! I probably would have waited longer but, I just couldn't do that to DH!!! lol

Re: girls that had vaginal birth...
It was the most an hour maybe 45 minutes but I took some breaks because I was tired. As far as DTD I tried at about 8 weeks and it was a no go so we waited until 11 but it was so much better. I am not sure if having an episiotmity had anything to do with it because I was sore.

Re: girls that had vaginal birth...
I pushed for 2 hrs and it was so bad. I think we waited about 8 weeks for DTD and i felt like a born again virgin! I think the episiotomy was the reason why. They say it can take up to a year for the incision and scar tissue to heal fully.
