Give me your best morning sickness remedies
I'm so not used to feeling this sick all the time. I felt so good during my entire pregnancy with my daughter. It appears that the only thing that makes me not ill is super bland food- dry toast, noodle soup, ginger ale, water, etc. Not fun!
Anyone have any remedies?

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
What got me through was sour candy (sour patch kids) during the day and chocolate milk at night. Bagels were also my best friend.

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
Its crazy- but if I don't eat something the SECOND I get up, I feel sick for a few hours, regardless of what I eat. I feel like I need to leave something on my end table (something wrapped- like crackers or a pop tart or something) to eat before I get out of bed. How gross is that. lol

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
Def eat the second you get up... I drank a lot of seltzer, water with lemon and when it was really bad ginger ale...
I ate a lot of bread and plain food that was kind of bland but its the only thing that didnt make me sick... Certain marinades/dressings made me sick to my stomach...

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
I would eat crackers in bed as soon as I woke up. And I would bring extras to eat on my commute to work. For some reason jolly ranchers helped a lot too, especially if I had bad taste in my mouth.

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
Whenever I got a bout of nausea, crackers and lemons always worked for me. I would cut a lemon in half and just suck on it. I actually love lemons but if you dont, this might be weird

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
I would eat a handful of saltines before you go to bed. I found that helped me.
I remember walking around with ginger ale and saltines all day long
Have you tried crystallized ginger? I hear sucking on that helps as well as spearmint flavored candies.

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
Definitely eating before even getting out of bed, whether it be crackers, toast, some pita chips...whatever. I found that if I let myself get hungry, I'd end up feeling nauseous.
Other things that helped me were chewing on (or even just smelling) fresh ginger, eating spearmint/peppermint candies, and drinking water with squeezed lemon juice in it (or anything else citrusy).
Feel better

With both boys I had bad MS..G was worst than L. This one kicked my backside - worst than the first two combined!
Just like you described..if I didn't eat right away I was sick but if I did eat right away there was a 50/50 I would be sick. Awful! My OBGYN recommended leaving crackers by my nightstand. I tried but found the boys eating them one morning when I went to check on them.
When I did get to eat them they did help

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
I wish I could help you but NOTHING is helping me. Crackers, yuk, they feel like glue in my mouth, bagels, ehhh, they help temporarily. Its like anything I put in my mouth gives me a slight relief temporarily and then I am back to my miserable self. Its truly awful. I even parted with my beloved coffee...I can't even look in its direction...whhhhhaaaaa....call the waaahhhmbulance!

Re: Give me your best morning sickness remedies
Sorry you are feeling so horrible, Liz. I had really bad m/s with both pregnancies. My suggestion is to have food with you wherever you go. I carried pretzels and cheese sticks with me everywhere. I needed to eat every hour!

And making sure that I eat something small every so often.
