I know that i would have been fine with it. I went away for 2 nights with my girlfriends to AC when DS was 6 months and then again for 2 nights when he was 10 months. Yes, DH was home with him, but I know I would have been fine leaving him with my parents if that had been an option so Dh and I could go away alone.

this would be a trip for just the two of us. we would leave DS home with his grandparents--having them watch him isn't the issue.
i'm wondering how many of you would have been able to leave your 6 month old for about 5 days. it's easy for me to say i could do it now, since he's not here yet.
 I'm sorry but I HAD to post something or my friends would sell me out anyway! My DS is only 2 mths old now....and before he was born, DH and I booked a cruise for our anniversary (in NOV- making DS about 9mths....). I said the SAME things u did above.
I already cancelled the cruise.

I've done it...more than once.
The first time DD was about 9 month old...she stayed with my parents, while DH and I went on a mini vacation for about 5 days. My parents had a blast...DH and I had fun, and DD had a good time also. My mom (who has not 1 creative bone in her body), made me a scrapbook of her week with DD....it was the cutest thing ever. DD was laughing and smiling in all the pictures!
I would go...have a good time!
