When are you due? Take care of yourself & get lots of rest. I would definitely ask your dr about a scheduled c-section. Only because you do NOT want your umbilical cord to fall out. This happened to my DH's cousin last year, it is called a prolapsed umbilical cord and it caused many problems when her water broke.
I'm due 8/30 and they say I might make it that long.
I am very nervous about the umbilical cord falling out.

Hang in there Kelly!!! With the cr@p your boss was giving you about sitting sideways getting away from him should be a relief. I know financially it's going to be rough, but I know you'll find a way to get through and come out whole on the other side!!
I know I should be happy to get out of there, but it just seems weird not to work.

Believe me, I am NOT trying to scare you at all. But I had never heard of this until it happened to her and now I am very conscious of this and have already talked to my dr about it, just to make sure we have all precautions in place. She wasn't even warned about it and had no signs. Her child was breech and she was scheduled for a c-section. But her water broke before that and the umbilical cord fell out while she was at the hospital. If it was me and I know there was a chance and my baby was that large, I would seriously discuss with the dr inducing early or a c-section.
In the meantime, relax and rest. Those two things are key! We are all hear to chat and keep you busy while on bedrest.

I am actually VERY impressed that your doctor is not pushing you into a c/s for a large baby. Good for you. Women all over the World have big babies safely. Your fluid may self-regulate. Bedrest may really help. If you go into labor and you feel your cord may come out, drive to the hospital with your legs over the backseat (you would be sitting in the backseat)

Take it easy....
I can relate to two of things you are going through. I found myself without at job 10 days before closed on our house while I was 5 months pg. Don't worry, I'm sure things will work out for you.
As far as a having a big baby....They predicted DS#1 would be 8.5-9lbs but he was 10lbs 3oz and I delivered him vaginally without any real problems. They predicted DS#2 to be just as big and my first and he was only 8lbs 12oz. So remember they could be wrong.
