Re: guys, I really need help/suggestions with this...my brain is shot but we NEED a stroller
We have the Pliko P3. Overall, I like it and we started using it when DS was 4-5 months old. I was in a third floor walkup when DS was born and I mostly left it in the car, but it wasn't too bad when I had to carry it up and down.
The basket sucks, though. If you think you'll need a good sized basket, I would say look at another stroller. It's not that small but it is such a PITA to get things in and out of it. The model I have does have a snack tray, but it is removable.
Now that he is older, he doesn't like it as much as his umbrella stroller, because there is no where for him to put his feet.

Jess-
I love my Pliko P3. It is sturdy and rides really nice. Aidan loves being in it- it is totally comfy for him. It has a great recline so that the few times he actually does fall asleep in it, he can relax. I LOVE the basket underneath- it's big and can store alot. Plus, it closes pretty easily. I've been able to close it with Aidan in my arms, which was super important to me. It rides really smooth- I find it handles the bumpy city terrain fine. It handles cracks with no problem. I don't know about the other strollers but I do love my P3.

tell me about these strollers and why you would get one over the other.
chicco trevi
Maclaren techno xt
maclaren triumph
maclaren quest sport
Peg Perego Si Corallo
Peg Perego Pliko P3
what I need for this stroller to do is to be used most of the year (not too light that it can't be used in winter) and to be comfy for him now at 4.5 months and at 2 years old. also needs to be durable enough to ride in the city. I don't necessarily need to be able to put the car seat in it, as we'll probably only use this walking in Brooklyn and not necessarily after a car ride.
I have the Chicco car seat that I really like but I also have the Maclaren easy rider car seat frame that is a dream...very light weight and easy to open/close.
I also like the way the Peg perego's ride.
so based on these criteria/specs, which do you think? I am not limited in price, though I'd like to get the best for the lease amount of money....
thanks for your help. I just can't decide.
I've had the Maclaren Techno (great stroller) and I have the Quest and the P3. I use mainly the Quest and I like it a lot. However I heard great things about the Peg Si and I've pushed it in the store and it pushes nicer than my Quest with DD in it (she's 30+lbs). Since your DS is still small I would go for the Si. It has a great recline and canopy, pushes nice and is relatively light weight. I also like the fact that it stands on its own when folded. Something the Maclarens don't do. Also the P3 is great for a smaller infant but once DD got heavier it became harder to push. It's also heavier than the Maclarens and Peg Si . I think you can even find some 2009 models of the Si discounted now. Here is the Strollerqueens Review of the Peg Si.
Peg Si
In case you don't know who the Strollerqueen is she is very popular in strollerland She has owned every single stroller out there and is a pro.

Re: guys, I really need help/suggestions with this...my brain is shot but we NEED a stroller
i have zero love for my maclaren.
i don't find it comfortable, easy to push, the thing tips all the time. we have never had a snack tray, so we don't miss it.
I guess I am just really a full size stroller person. Any added inconvinence for having full size I feel is totally outweighed by benefits.
I would go city mini, bob, bumbleride...slightly used of course

Get the Maclaren Quest Sport!! We live in the same neighborhood so I can attest to it's awesomeness as a city stroller. My second choice would be the city mini.

Re: guys, I really need help/suggestions with this...my brain is shot but we NEED a stroller
I have the following strollers:
Chicco Cortina Maclaren Techno XT BOB Revolution Snap n Go Joovy Ergo Caboose Combi double stroller (can't remember name)
Anyways of ALL these strollers the one that has gotten the most use BY FAR is the Techno. I really love it - so easy to steer, fits anywhere, It has gone on a bunch of plane rides, trips etc. To me, it is the most versatile stroller - my 3 year old still sits in it when we go to the city without the baby.
